Help me out with a canon t3i... I guess guys like me should stay out of the camera menu's. I don't know what I did but I must have changed something in the menu somewhere on the camera that is messing up my downloading.

For some reason pics look great on the camera screen but when I download them onto my laptop all the pics turn very blue like if you turn the saturation all the way up. To the point where you can barely tell what your looking at.

I did click on the white balance mode in the camera menu and when you click it pulls a picture and says "only compatible img's displayed" but then you cant hit anything to back out or set so I didn't think I changed anything but apparently I did. Like I said the pics displayed on the camera itself look perfect but once moved to the computer they turn to garbage.

I also went to the menu where it says "clear all custom func. (C.Fn)" and clicked set hoping it would return to normal. But no luck.

Are you plugging the camera into your laptop and if so have you tried removing the SD card and directly putting them on the computer to see if they're the same? It may also be something in your photo editing software - what are you viewing these in or is it just opening in a standard viewer like MediaPlayer or otherwise? Lightroom is a great tool for editing your images if you haven't already go it.

I use a Pentax DSLR so I'm not knowledgeable about the t3i's menu, but if you take the top mode selector dial and turn it to Auto it should undo most anything you've changed in the menu. White balance should be set to auto until you get more accustomed to changing the WB based on the light source/strength during your shoot. Change the dial to auto, snap a pic (use flash if needed) and compare to see if your issue is resolved.

Yeah I have been plugging it in all along. I haven't tried just removing the card. It's really very odd. Like I said the pics look perfect on the cameras screen& then after correlating the files they look cartoonish.

Generally I just use the portrait setting to take pics& I put the wb on the cloudy setting. Then just some minor adjustments on photobucket & I have a good pic.

I'll try switching to auto but I'm sure the same thing will happen because I tried a couple other settings as well with the same results. Idk maybe it could be the laptop but I haven't changed anything on that. I also delete my pics once I get them on photobucket so that I don't clutter my computer memory.

Oh also I just view them on standard media viewer or what ever. Which was working fine until today. & even when I dl them to pb they still are the cartoonish version.
