I have been battling ICH for a second time both times the fire fish did not get or have any symptoms of having it. After treating the tank with reef safe products that didn't work (newbie) he again is the sole survivor. i want to keep the tank fallow for the 11 weeks to ensure i dont have this problem again but do i have to take him out while i do this and i also have a bunch of peppermint shrimp and some hermit crabs, can they stay in tank as well. So frustrated at this point any help would be appreciated...

Remove the fish everything else is ok to stay in the tank. Also, just because you did not see spots does not mean the firefish was not infected. good luck

Your firefish still has Ich, just probably not exhibiting signs of it. Like a carrier. You can leave the tank fish less for 8 weeks to treat the tank, but you will also have to treat the firefish. Otherwise you'll just reintroduce Ich to the treated tank.

I feel for you. I have just battled ICH and might have 2 chromis and 2 PJ cardinals that have survived. I am getting a QT tank set and and will have to catch my surviors. If the fish get treated and are in QT for 4 weeks, can they go back in DT? or do they have to wait the fallow time of 8-12 weeks?

the tank MUST remain fishless the entire time. Keep your fish in QT until then or you will just start over at square one.
