Can a mantis catch ICH?

I have a fish that has ich in a tank with my peacock mantis shrimp

My questions are:

1) Can the Mantis be infected by the ich?

2) will chemical ich treatment be harmful to the stomotapod without hypo?

#1: I don't see how they possibly could without some major mutations
and
#2 More than likely. I'd move the fish to a temp QT tank and treat it with an ich treatment. Once it is clear the tank will still have ich for a while, like 4 months I believe, so I'd give the fish away once ich is gone if it isn't too important to you.

Invertebrates cannot host "ich" (Cryptocaryon irritans).

To rid a tank of ich, you will need to remove the fish to a separate hospital tank, and then run the main tank without fish for at least six weeks (four months is excessive).

The gold standard treatment for ich is copper, which is of course deadly to invertebrates. Hyposalinity, freshwater dips, raised temperature, and all that can work, and must be used if the fish is sensitive to copper (most tangs; small-scaled or scaleless fish such as gobies/blennies/eels, etc).

For more information that you can possibly digest on the subject, I recommend: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ichartmar.htm
