My false perc I've only have for 2 weeks. He is a baby and when I bought him, he was very small. And this is a pic of his first day in my tank (the cyano on the sand is now gone)

Keep in mind, it's only been 2 weeks, and this what what he looks like today! Have you noticed how black he's getting? His top fins and tail are completely black now, and his body is starting to turn black at the top, back, and even his forehead is turning black.

My question is, could my false perc be a different kind of clown fish?
Or is this normal for them to change colors so fast?
Thanks!

Juvenile A. ocellaris have been known to change color as they get older. A. ocellaris black variant start out completely orange when they are born. I would consider this a normal occurence and to enjoy the color change to see what he turns out to be. He's beautiful right now.

Hey sharper, i know this has nothing to do with the subject, but how did you get rid of the cyano in 2 weeks? my tank is starting to grow it and want to know what worked for you...

thank u
