Hi - I have a 6" Crocea and a 5" Teardrop Maxima - both are doing very well so far (I have had them a couple months).
I have a deep sand bed - it was 4", but I was battling dinoflagellette algae and have been siphoning the algae (along with sand) for the past couple months and it is almost gone.
My problem is, I only have about 3" of sand left and I want to add a little more to the tank.
QUESTION - will adding FINE aragonite to the tanks hurt the clams? I will let the sand soak in a bucket of tank water with a powerhead for 2 weeks before I add it to help some bacteria growth, BUT there will be a major sand storm.
Can this fine sand in the water injur my clams?
Thanks,
Jason
