Can an anemone eat too much?

In Memoriam
I bought an LTA from Petco about four weeks ago for $5.99. Yes that's 5 dollars and 99 cents. Figured I couldn't go wrong for that price! My GSM hosted in it immediately upon putting it into my tank. It seems to be healthy and doing well! I'll post a picture later and maybe someone can tell me what kind he is.

Anyway - my GSM steals all the food that I feed my entire tank and brings it to the anemone. I've ended up almost doubling the amount that I have to feed my tank because the anemone is getting so much food! Can he get too much food?

the only anemones I have ever seen cheap (under $10) have been condy anemones. Picture would help:)

They may have lucked out and gotten an LTA for the price of a Condy. Has happened before for other people, luck out with a mis-labelled animal or uninformed employee.

To the OP, if the 'nem gets more to eat than it can digest it will regurgitate it later, I suspect.

I'll post a picture this evening. It looks more like the condy on LiveAquria. However, LA says that clowns don't host in them. My GSM is definitely taking very good care of it......

I know when we have them in, our Condys go for $7.99 a piece so chances are that is probably what you have. Congrats on the successful introduction.

Here are pictures of the anemone - Condy or otherwise?
