My question is simple....Can any tank be drilled? My boyfriend has a 125, but "NEEDS" to buy a new tank because he wants a reef ready and he can't drill it himself because it is tempered or something like that. Is he being honest:) or should he sleep on the floor and just drill the tank:mad:

you can probably drill the back of the tank as opposed to the bottom.

It is easy to do.

Paul.

and welcome to the COMAS forum.

The back of the tank is a great place to drill a tank. I think it is the best place to drill because you still have all the bottom surface for sand and rock scape.

Don't be too hard on him, he probable never thought if that.

btw, we have a big meeting this coming saturday in Edmond, we will have lots of door prizes and other stuff for members of comas.

Ive drilled several tanks including a 100g.

A dremel and a couple of diamond bits are all you need.

I would recommend using the heavy duty bulkheads sold by Savko.com They are very good and do not crack unlike others i have used.

Paul.

Yes, many of us have drilled a tank with diamond dremel bits or whatnot. If you'd like some help with that someday, Brent, give me a holler....
