can anyone give me any info on this fish?

Anampses wrasses are extremely difficult to care for long term - worse than leopards. I expect this guy to be no exception.

If it's that hard to care for, think long about buying it.

As an aquarium owner, you get to vote with your $$$.

If smaller numbers of fish like this are sold, collectors will be more inclined to leave them in their natural habitat, where this species seems to belong.

If you "have" to have it, nice job doing the research in advance.

If you're in no rush, and haven't seen this, you might pick up a copy:

+1 on the Scott Michael book. He is thorough and accurate, an excellent source of information.

yeah, i know that these guys are difficult, i've got experience with difficult fish and finicky eaters, i have 3 leopards and a regal angel. i'm not in any rush but this guy has been on LA website for a looong time and i've been eyeing it for a while. since i know they're difficult i wanted to check it out before buying. do these guys keep this color or do they change once getting into adulthood?
