Not the coral but the feather looking coming out of it.

It's been there since I put the coral in about 6 - 8 months ago. I'm not sure how to circle it so hopefully its seen.

Cant tell from the pic... That coral has an odd growth form... Even kinda looks like clove polyps or flower pot coral the way the branches bend out

Google serpulid or sabellid. They are miniature filter feeders, and harmless to your system. I've got a bunch of them & love 'em.

is the coral a tort that is just encrusting? Sorry, Im just more curious about the coral rather than the worm lol :)

It seems to be a sabellid worm, hes gotten bigger since I got this piece. It's coming right out of where a polyp would normally be is that still ok?

I believe it's a miyagi tort that's encrusting weird. It's more purple in person. It has definitely become my favorite, it got really pale after the sandy power outage and its just starting to come back.
