One pic is going to look like a lot of white smudges. We do know these are not pods, they don't move like pods, don't really see much movement at all. Also, the wrasse and tang aren't pecking at them so that makes me think they are REALLY not pods.
The other pic is the best close up would could get using a cell phone.
