Questioning leadership decisions isnt anger nor is it wrong.

Only going on what I have been told about, nothing concrete as to the pizza nights. If Im wrong I apologize I had bad info.

Have made great friends through this and am not angry at the least, but if my questioning a decision made by the board of an organization comes off as personal attacks and fanning the flames of disention, ...............

nothing I can do about that. I will ask the questions that I feel I need answers to.

I still feel this is an opportunity lost for SLASH and not one to get back anytime soon

That was a private affair hosted by Arsenal11. He is free to invite anyone and everyone he wishes to invite to his home. I'm sure that you've NEVER done anything like that...right?

Until now Iknew nothing about anything taking place @ Arsenal11's place. So I guess I was not invited. So what my feelings are not hurt. I can't make 60% of our meetings anyway. It was obivsily not a club meeting but a private affair which is none of my concern, so who would I be to cry about not getting to go?? I guess last week when I met up with zt444a @ belts to swap sumps I should have informed everyone that the 2 of us were meeting up HUH?? Thats just ingnorant.

We didn't want you their only smart Reefers :lol: This was a long time ago. before SLASH was even created.

Ahh, here we go. Let's take "Here say" which is mill house rumors unless you heard it with your own ears and run off pointing fingers about something we don't even know is true or not. I for one would like to see all of this end so both Clubs can go on their merry way. This Arguing Does not look good for either one of the clubs, and it has to make the Newbies on both forums very uncomfortable.. And its only hurting both of them. Something I know neither club is wanting or is trying to do.

As I have stated before I think it is great for St. Louis to have 2 Great Clubs Lets keep it going in a forward direction, and go back to having fun!

Greg then proceeded to give Fade a lot grief for having Lisa at his house during "his event". Fade was none to please since he paid for the meat for the event. No financial support from the SLASH club occurred.

Fast forward a few months....

Fade invited SEASL to his house for a tank tour. Very nice event I hear, I was not able to attend. As Fade's son puts in, my house was broke and I had to fix it. (inside joke). Anyway, Greg is so mad that Fade did this, that he blacklisted him as a "SEASL Crony" that is promoting SEASL too much. Greg apparently told 2 different people this and both people let Fade know. Needless to say, he was not too happy. I can honestly say, it was the only time I witness Fade cuss out of true anger.

And before all the accusations are thrown my way, this post is made with the knowledge and permission of Fade32.


So, with just those examples.... How can your statement be true?

I read this stuff last night, and was going to put my 2cents in, but decided that maybe this would die down and maybe I should leave it alone. So now I will give you all a $1.00 worth of my two cents.
All my statements are based on observations, since I wasn't around when there was only one club. This is what I Have seen and read. I will leave out the names for now since I am an adult.
From what I am seeing, it seems the one screaming the loudest about the hatred, and the name calling between the clubs. That there should be only one club. or even that Capo isn't open minded, are the very same people that was ditching the heck out of SEALS when I first joined. The same people that said they would never put on a SEASL
T-shirt again, The same ones that posted several times about the membership of SEASL being stuck up and unfriendly. Now they are acting like they never had any problems with SEALS or other members.
I've been acused of being simple minded, but to me someone who can totally forget spending such "Hatred" only a few months ago, and now acts like they have always totally enjoyed the company of both clubs, to me is simple mined.
Now I have absolutly nothing against SEASL club, I was never a member, nor do I know any of the members of SEASL unless they are a member of SLASH. I am a member of SLASH because it was the club that fit my style, and I can only afford to offically join one club, so SLASH was it. I am just stating that is what I observed.
As far as there being one club, I've heard all the stories, and I would rather there be two clubs. I rather like the informalness of SLASH and would like it to stay this way. As far as people jumping Capo, I don't see why, he has stood up for his club. and as he stated, anyone is free to go to, join in any event they want. I know he has never told me otherwise.
If you want to hang out with both clubs, DO. If you want to be a member of both clubs, DO. If you only like one of the clubs, then just join one. But to continualy post the capo is holding back the merging of freindship between the two clubs is wrong. The clubs are the people in the club, so if a bunch of people from "SLASH" want to hang out and do a BBQ together, they do not need anyones permission, just do it.
And as far as not everyone being invited to someone house for a get together, that is that persons choice. I wasn't invited either, you don't see me crying.

John...do you see yourself as possibly the one who keeps trying to spur on the problems? You know what they say about people who live in glass houses. Can all of this bickering stop or at least take it to PM's? This has gone on long enough. And John, I have nothing against you, and you may be surprised to know that I have the utmost respect for you, just please stop trying to cause issues.

Sorry John, you are entirely wrong.

I stated that I though he leaned a little more towards SEASL than he did SLASH and I still believe so. Am I not free to state my opinions? I also told Fade on the phone that I had a bad day and was stressed. In a PM to Nanook just 2 days ago I told him that believe it or not that I like Fade. If Nanook wished to give permission for the PM to be made public then I am willing to post it. Otherwise, you'll just have to take my word for it.

We had a meeting at Kentrob11s place a week or so ago. You were there ...remember? Was I rude, standoffish or anything else to Fade? On the contrary I spoke to him and treated him just as I did EVERYONE else including you and Beapeams who are not SLASH members. I also happened to run into you and Beapeams at CPE last weekend. Did I not speak to you and he?

Let me tell a little story now.

Arond the time that SLASH was being formed there was a group of peouple who got together and talked about forming the new club. Hobbes was one of them. He was also hoping to be elected to the BoD. The founding members took a vote to see whould be elected to the secretary position and it was decided that Sirreal63 would be elected. A strictly democratic process. I wanted Hobbes to be an important part of SLASH so I suggested that he might want to do a newsletter. He seemed to like to write and take picture so I though it might be a perfect fit. When he was not elected I IMed him and asked him if he would consider the newsletter thing. He was furious and stated that he didn't want to do it and would just be a member. He never signed up as a member which is his choice but from what I have been told by Fade32 was responsible for suggesting the newsletter now known as "The Wave". If the newsletter part of this story is not true then I was misinformed by Fade32 but I believe him until it is proven to not be true.
