Can anyone recommend a QUIET pump for closed loop?

I would like to ideally put an oceans motions in a 170. It has two holes drilled on the bottom of the tank for 1" bulkheads, and I was going to have 2 nozzles coming into the tank from the top.
I wanted to get an oceans motions 4-way revolutions.
Can someone recommend a pump that can push this at max, and be very quiet?
Otherwise, I will just go with a closed loop with some loc line, but still want a quiet pump.
Any input appreciated!

I have a Sequence 4200 that does the job nicely, but by no means to the max. A Reeflo Hammerhead would be a good pump pushing the OM closer to the max.

I have a Dart on my 4-way for a 220 and love it. It is by far the quitest pump I have used. I've used several iwaks, mags, and little giants. This is so quite if it wasn't for the obvious water movement you would not know it was on.
Do you have a hole drilled for the intake? I would suggest to pop one in if you don't

How much water do you want to move through the closed loop?

I have both a ReeFlo Dart (3600 GPH/0 head) and a ReeFlo Snapper (2500 GPH/0 head) that are dead SILENT. The SEDRA pumps on my skimmer make more noise and they are submersed.

I am a huge fan of the Sequence pumps, but the bigger you go (motor, impeller and flow rate) the louder any pump will be.

The dart on a closed loop would provide an additional 20x circulation in the tank - not too bad for under 180 watts of power.

Thanks, this helps a bunch. I think the max flow through the 4-way is 2000 gph? I will look into a Dart, is it called a Sequence Dart or ReeFlo Dart?

i second doubledown. i have the snapper and it is whisper quiet. if you want quiet and no heat transfer sequence is the way to go

It is a Sequence ReeFlo Dart, max output is 3600. Max on the 4-way is 7500. The super-squirts are 2500. If you went with the dart, plumbed it in a way to reduce the flow to the 2500 vis head pressure you could use a squirt and save a few bucks. I have both a squirt and a 4-way. the 4 way is nicer IMO. Looks better, easier to plumb, handles high flow should I decide to ever upgrade.

Thank you RobTop for the clarification! I have made my decision, thank you everyone!

Well what is the decision?
