Can anyone recommend me a UV sterilizer?

Additionally, can anyone tell me a bit more about them? All I really know about them is their main function. Would they do well in a sump?

More than happy to. Kind of controversial subject. Some swear they are helpful some call them a waste. I sit in the middle and call them an insurance policy. I have used one on and off for years and find they do help control algae and I believe help with parasite populations. You want to have an adjustment valve to regulate the water to a slow pace for max exposure to the light source. I have found the new turbo twists to be great and make a lot of sense as far as design and usability. Very reasonably priced too.

i second the turbo twist and very easy to clean use, you really only need a cheap pump too
