Can anyone shed light on MarineMad?

I've just brought the app and found i need to create a MarineMad account but i cannot due to it being under upgrade. Its been like that for a few weeks..

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light?

After doing a but of digging i found http://www.marinemad.com/sign_up.php to work, but when it gets to the activation it fails
