I was told that this was pipe organ coral and being that I'm new to the hobby I just bought it because well, I'm new and it was thrown in with a bunch of other things I purchased. It does swell up and seems to be doing fine but Never fully opens so its hard for me to tell. Can anyone help?

Looks like gonipora or alveopora. Can't tell whick one from pic, if you google the difference is there. It's in the polyp.

Looks like an alveopora to me but it's hard to count the number of petals on each polyp (should be 12 for an alveopora). From the pictures that you listed, that's about as fully open as they get. Great little corals. Pretty easy to keep happy and a good choice for a beginner.

It is really difficult to count them in the tank as well but after looking at pics on the internet I believe it is Alveopora. Thanks for all the input, I'm excited about my new corals!
