Can anyone tell me what this is?

This anemone came on a frag of Pulsing Xenia I purchased. Didn't notice it until I got it home and placed it in my tank. I am not sure if it split or not but I did eventually see two and they are moving all over my tank. Infact one of them is currently not in sight. Can someone tell me what these might be?

I remember seeing a rock covered with majano at a LFS I no longer to go, a couple of years ago when I was still pretty new to the hobby (and hadn't yet learned to be skeptical of LFS advice). The store owner told me it was a rock full of baby BTAs...then again, he also used to claim that the bleached SPS corals in his systems were just "naturally" pale.

lol I was at a store two days ago in iowa that had a HUGE rock full of majanos in their frag tank for sale..I just laughed because they were also using their dead coral colonies that were recently alive as decor for their fish only systems..The place was garbage

HAHAHA, I immediately went to my tank and sucked em out! I think its funny that as a newb to the hobby I think, "Hey, those look cool! I bet they are expensive BTA! I scored big since I bought them on a frag of pulsing xenia". Then I read all your posts and I'm like "WHAT DID I DO?". I guess I should shouldn't frequent that LFS anymore since I also found Aiptasia on the same frag.

I love it when I walk into a LFS and find aiptasia in ALL the tanks! Frag tanks and fish only, just loaded with it, do the owners just not care or do they really not know what they have? Either way, they probably shouldnt own a fish store, IMHO

I am with you. When I first got into this hobby a few months ago I didn't know jack about all the nuisance critters you want to watch for and stay away from. I started reading about people with their tanks being over run with this or that and so I got smart quick on what to look out for. Now I go to an LFS I have frequented since I started this hobby and see all of these things from Mojano to bubble algae and think to myself, "I think I should find a new store!"

HAHA, bubble algae is whole other issue!! There is a store here that thiks its some sort of fancy coral or something? It is in EVERY SINGLE TANK!! The sad part is, noob's that buy a coral think they got something cool for free cause its on everything in the store! Sucks, but what can you do? Wait, I know, I will boycot with signs and stuff!! LOL
