Hi.. I bought these creatures last week. They are all gorgeous and beautiful, moving very actively especially when touched. It came in 3 different color. I tried to feed them with many things : brine shrimp, piece of shrimp and fish. but they just refused / repelled all food offered. Can anyone help ? Thanks.

That article pretty much sums it up. They are hiders, and in the wild they generally only come out at night. Notoriously difficult to keep them from starving.

Cheers,

Don

Very very difficult and NPS.. between getting the right food, the right particle size, and then actually feeding them several times a day, they don't last long.. very sensitive to the slightest increase in nitrates or swing in ph.. they'll start losing arms when on their way. These just belong in the wild.

Correct. And also their arms (legs?) are like velcro and easily broken.

I have had mine for months now It is the red one ( he Hardest to keep), I know that's no where near years, but I seen the postings that they only average 2 weeks in captivity... so we are way past this benchmark They do not hide at all, in fact they position themselves in front of the current holding on to coral heads, We feed the corals and it also, It has lost none of its limbs and has grown since being in my tank. So it is possible to feed them and they are not supportable to PH or nitrates swings any more than your corals or fish.

So...
You bought things without knowing what they are?
Please don't do that again. Unless you know how to care for something, it's best to leave it alone...
But yes, they aren't very easy to keep... More for experienced reefers. Feed them several times a day with small-sized foods.
