Can cyclo-peeze go bad? Acan receding.

I have a small acan frag thats been in my tank for about six months. I haven't fed it in quite a while and last night I saw that it had its feeders out so I figured I'd feed it. I have a can of freeze dried cyclo-peeze that I've had for I don't even know how long, so I mixed some with some tank water and basted the acan. Today all the flesh on the acan is receding heavily and looks like its on it last leg. Could it be cyclo-peeze? Yesterday it seemed fine, fed it, then today it doesn't look like its going to make it. Any ideas/suggestions?

While it can go bad, I highly doubt that is the cause of the issue. Sorry

Yeah I didn't think so. The timing just seems odd, as feeding the cyclopeeze is the only thing that's been done different in a couple months and it happened over night.
