Can fish scales grow back?

Hi,
My dottyback suffer some injury during a fight with a damsel. It lost some scales and its colour faded abit after losing the fight.

Its there anything i can to bring the scales and colour back, I tried many different kinds of food and my water condition are normal. Moreover, the damsel recover very quickly.

Fish will heal from injuries, but being in our aquarium, it is hard for them to get all the nutritional needs met for a good recovery. Your foods must be optimal; you need to provide foods with supplemental vitamin and fat additives and you should provide some beta glucan in its food to help it recover its natural immune response.

I hope you separated the two fish. Your fish won't heal if it is still under the stress of having an enemy around.

Normal water quality will be insufficient for some fishes. Top water quality, a clean aquarium (no rotting detritus or dead things lying about), and everything functioning up to 'new' standards is what is needed.

Keep an eye out for a secondary bacterial infection and be prepared. Lay in some antibiotics and prepare a hospital tank now in case you need it.

Thanks, i think i will remove the damsel from the main tank, before trying the other methods.
