Can Fish thrive without being fed Frozen foods?

I find feeding frozen to be a huge inconvenience for me. I have been feeding my fish a mixed diet of Hikari marine A pellet and seaweed extreme. I feed the fish a small amount twice daily. Every fish seems to be very healthy. I am not adding any vitamins or supplements to the pellets. Fish seem to be very healthy. I am starting to wonder if adding vitamin C, and amino acids is really of benefit or if it is just a marketing scheme.

I currently have tangs, wrasses and anthesis in my reef. The fish seems happy. I am not opposed to adding selcon, or vitamin c etc. I am just not sure if it really is of benefit.

I am wondering if anyone is keeping healthy fish without the use of vitamins, supplements and and frozen foods?

I always feed frozen food now enriched with garlic. I mix between formula 1 / formula 2 / mysis shrimp / carnivore formula. I also want to supplement and add pellet food so that when I go on vacation my fish care takers can do pellets. They all dislike the frozen food feeding and dislike to empty the skimmer.

Who can recommend the BEST pellet foods? I was at the LFS last night but did not purchase anything b/c I wanted input first.

I alternate between NLS pellets and frozen food, pellets in the morning and frozen at night. I've heard that NLS contain all the nutrient necessary but I still want to feed some frozen food to vary the diet and taste for the fish. My fish are all big, fat, and happy.

I like to throw in frozen foods to keep things varied and fill in any gaps, as I don't believe that any one food item covers EVERYTHING a fish needs. Getting fish on to pellets or flakes is becoming a must for me because time seems to be taken away from me to feed frozen as much as I would like and pellets in an auto feeder will allow me to feed more often while supplementing with frozen. On top of this I'll occasionally soak foods in selcon or vitamin soak to further ensure that the fish get the nutrition they need.

The tough thing about whether the fish will do fine on one food (pellets for example) is that it takes time for the fish to show they are missing something in their diet. It's unlikely symptoms would show in a matter of days, or even a couple of weeks. The symptoms would likely show up after a month or more depending on what is missing.

Careful about fish appearing "fat". While thin is not good, fat is not good either, sometimes indicating fatty liver disease possibilities. NLS pellets are nutritionally sound and should be an integral part of a fish's diet.

IMO the best dry food is from New Eraโ€ฆthey have pellets and Marine grazers. I use them both. The brand has no color added and you get very little waste and great nutrition.

I feed a large variety of flake/pellets/nori/formula1&2 with some frozen mysis and brine enriched with vitamins and selcon.
