Have though about a six line wrasse for awhile but know they can be aggressive. Wanted to know if there where any dangers of adding one now. Already have some mandarins and a fairy wrasse (fish it would most likely bother) in the tank. Tank is 150 gal. Since the other fish are already in will it be an issue or will it turn on them???

Avoid 6 lines always. One way or another, they usually end up terrorizing another fish. Get a flasher wrasse instead.

Don't put sixlines with mandarins, the sixlines will kill the mandarins in nearly every case.

ok so no to the six line. as of now I only have 1 wrasse, a solar fairy wrasse. Are there any other wrasses I should avoid or ones you would recommend? Pretty much have all the fish I want in the tank other than finishing off with some wrasses. I do have a canopy so no worry about jumpers. Was thinking about adding 2 or 3 more wrasses just not sure which. One will most likely be a flasher. What else?

One of my fav all time fish was a pink streaked wrasse, similar to a six line; but very peaceful. Graceul and entertaining, most pictures don't do them justice. She was rehomed when I combined my nanos to a lion tank, I had her for years.

In the OP tank, no copepod eater sshould be added with mandarins.

A long time ago I have a Mandarin pair and Sixline pair in my 450 gal thriving tank. All four fish were fat and the mandarin were spawning every few days. After more then 1 year my Sixline pair act in concert peck out the eyes of my female mandarin. She starved and I took the Sixline pair to the LFS vowed never keep any lined wrasse in any of my tank again

Wow, that is brutal. I've had a six line for a couple years in a 150 and I have never seen any problems, but I have not had it with a mandarin.

My six line was constantly dominating my o. clowns till I bought a red bubble anem.. The 6-line killed everything smaller then it in a 120 gal. I do like him though. Coward fish to big things, terror to smaller things.
