I would get a mature male and not a juv. The juv is so small the big female can kill it pretty easily.
Any news how are they doing
Checked on them this morning and during lunch, and they were fine. The male is getting a little more relaxed, and going to the center of the nem, and the female at times seems a little irritated by it, and bumps him off a little, but really, I wouldn't call it aggression. They've been locked in the anemone the entire time together. I'll check again tonight, but I think I've found a winner right off the bat. :bounce1:
I'll try to get a few pics up tonight for sure. The size difference is HUGE! It's a crack up. I hope my female lives long enough to let the male grow up a bit!
That's very cool. Thanks for the Picts. Did you have the large one from the time she was little and was she light in color like the little one is now?
Just curious because I had paired cinnamons but the larger (female) died from an ich outbreak. She was darker and the smaller fish was lighter. When the larger one died, the one that was left got bigger and is now a dark cinnamon rather than the light orange. I was wondering if that was a sign of maturing or becoming female.
I'd like to get another cinnamon to pair so I'll use this approach and get a tiny one. Keep us posted... with more picts too.![]()
