Can I borrow someone's Auto-Feeder?

I bought this Aquachef auto feeder and i'm not able to get it to feed on schedule. I can press manual feed, but for some reason i've done everything to set it and it says it is set to feed, but doesn't feed. I've tried this several times. Most I can hope for is that maybe it needs to go through 24 hour period before it feeds?

I am leaving town on Friday and I can't let my fish starve. My options are to overnight a different auto-feeder, or if someone has one locally and I can pick it up and borrow it for 10 days that would be really nice.

Hey Angela,
I have a brand new one - never used it; let me look and see how it works, I'd be happy to lend it to you

Hi Linda,

Thank you so much for the offer. I don't think I will be able to use that one because the feature that it dispenses over two hours sounds too slow. My greedy clownfish will never let the poor shrimp eat, he will eat every pellet over the two hour period until his stomach is distended. :( Too bad, because you are so close it would be great.

xinu, thanks also. I have someone who offered to let me use their feeder that is also a distance, but not quite as far as you are.

I appreciate the generosity of my fellow BAR members. Thanks so much!

Hi all.

I just wanted to say thanks again for the offers. I called customer support and it turns out that the programming instructions had a misprint and after getting appropriate instruction this thing works like a charm. Yay, my fish won't starve!

a while back you had some pretty nice corals up but I did not bite because of the drive; now I fine you could have delivered:)

That's an idea. I'll let you know if I have any to sell in the future, and I can just bring them to work.

Sorry for the thread hijak Newreeflady. Glad you got your feeder working properly.
