Can I construct a phosban/carbon reactor with this skimmer?

Im hoping to put this skimmer I have to use, my plans are to use this as a phosban/carbon reactor is it at all possible?

Its the Jebo 180 skimmer.

I posted this over at the DIY forum just hoping to get info from some of you experienced people.

yeah, take out the interior tubes, put a sponge on the bottom and one on the top. for the top one you are going to have to make some type of fastener, you can probably do it with the top of the skimmer since that'll most likely be trash anyhow. take out the air hose that goes into the maxijet and there you go. if you want to use for phosban, you are going to have to downgrade to a smaller pump so that the water doesn't just push the media out, for carbon it should be fine.

I was gonna buy the media thats called DETOX it has nitrate remover/carbon in it....Hmmmm what should I do.

will a maxijet 400 do then for both carbon and phosban remover in the same compartment?

I stil dont understand How im gonna cover the top?

I don't know about eveyone else but I just went out and bought the TLF Phosban reactor and put carbon in it ... only $34 for it (you supplye the pump) ... beats the hassle of trying to mod something back and forth ... WELL SPENT $34 IMHO

Well I guess Ill have to sell it to someone that needs it more than I do to get one of those.
