can i do freshwater dip on pipe organ

i have a nice pipe organ i have had for over a year. in the last month or so it has been getting green hair algae on it. it is getting to the point of smothering. can i do a freshwater dip on it to kill the algae?

I have never seen a pipe organ but the algae you are talking about will not die in fresh water is the algae right on the soft part or on the bony part if it is on the hard part you can carefully brush it off with a tooth brush

A fresh water dip will kill the coral and not the algae.

well i guess i will try something else then.
the algae is mostly in the hard part of the coral, but it is growing to the point i can see the algae when it is open
