Out for your thoughts on this!!!

I am about to purchse a 300g tank and I want to put a wave box in, but I don't want it to "show". One idea was to drill a hole in the side of the tank, and build a glass box on the outside of the tank that is the same size as a wave box. Then purchase the "inards" of the wave box to put in the "glass" box. The people at Tunze will sell just the "inards" of the Wave box.

This sound strange?

Any other suggestions?

I dont think you would even notice a wave box in a 8 ft tank

You wont even notice it after a week...I've got a 96x30x30 and don't even see in the corner anymore.

However...It is an interesting idea you propose...but I don't know that I would do that to a tank...think about it...You've got a permenant hole in your tank now. How about if that box ever springs a leak? Now you've got a nasty unstoppable leak until your water line gets below that hole.
