Hi Everyone.

I think i know the answer here but i thought i would just be sure

Can i put a carpet and a lta in the same 130 gallon tank?

I am thinking not but i do have the room and now the lights but won't do it if not a good idea. I already have the lta and someone i know has an great looking carpet that has outgrown her tank. But i would not want to hurt anyone either.

I would check out some of the FAQ's on here: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/anemcompfaqs.htm read through for some situations similar to yours.

I think in general its a bad idea. They may be on opposite sides of the tank, but chemical warfare may still easily cause problems, even in a 130.

If you already know the answer , then I can only think you are looking for someone to tell you that its ok or for some anectodal evidence to support what you want to do. I'm sure others have done it.... is it a good idea? probably not. I'd say listen to initial instinct and don't do it.

Also, your sig says you have a bta? where's that guy?

Assuming the carpet is a haddoni I'd be tempted to try it. If it starts to look like warfare be prepared to pull it out.

If the carpet is any other species I'd not attempt it, they are so diffcult to keep successfully without complications I'd pass.

Bta is actually been moved to my friends tank and she is wanting to send this one here. Uhmm it is a saddelback. It is reallly nice and has no clown friends either. I am sure mine would like a new home

I am not sure what to do. How do i know if there is warfare going on?
