Can I extend Apex Interface Cable/VDM Module?

I am hoping to use this cable to control the new Kessil A360 with my Apex on my new build, however my Apex is housed in my basement and my tank is pretty far away in my living room. Can I simply extend this cable with a female-male headphone style cable??

Is there another good cable option available?

IN therory yes. I would check with Neptune and or Kessil. Getting that information from Neptune or Kessil may prove to be difficult, but its worth a shot...

I'm part of my concern is the distance I'm travelling. I'm looking to extend by about 50ish feet.
