Can I get a Nem?

My tank is just now getting set up. It has water and live rock...building sump now. Anywho, after it cycles, my first fish was going to be a clown or two. My tank is going to be a FOWLR (90 gal tank w/ 55 gal sump). My lighting is 4 T5 bulbs w/ two 6,500k bulbs and two blue acintic bulbs. Can I get a nem w/ that lighting? If so, should the tank be established for a while before I get one? If that is true, if I get clowns now, will they use the nem once I get it (later on)? Thanks!!!!

I would wait a few months before adding an anemone, I will say that in my experience with anemones & this is just my experience, I never was able to keep one alive long term until I got halides & now I have a RBTA that is about 10" in diameter....I'm not saying it can't be done but I think most anemones are very demanding & not super hardy in captivity.......I'm sure someone else will chime in.......

BTA's will do fine with T5 lighting. With that said, you NEED to let you tank mature for a minimum of 6 months. If you are really concerned about long term keeping of these beautiful animals, I would strongly suggest waiting a year. I would hope that anyone who loves sea-life would want to provide the best, rather than "possibly good enough." In the meantime, find yourself some nice mushrooms. My clowns still host in some hairy mushrooms even though they have had a tank full of anemones for years.
