Can I Have an Anemone in a FOWLR?

Just a quick question. My wife is very interested in having an anemone in our new 235g FOWLR> I told her it probably wont go with our puffers and angel. Although I have ample lighting... Is it possible?

As far as I know the puffers and angel will eat the anemone. I could be wrong but I think they like the soft tissue of the anemone.

well i have been keeping carpets in my fowlers for the last 3 years never had a problem i currently have 2 triggers 2 puffers and 2 angels and 1 copperband butterfly i in my 230g never had any fish nip at them wen my porcupine gets to close to it the carpet will almost act like its food and try to eat it but the puffer is big enough to swim away but the fish seem to know to stay away and have learned there lesson.

I have personally watched a blue face angel go after an S. haddoni, which have one of the strongest stings, and is extremely sticky.

That's great. My wife is going to be thrilled to hear this! There are some long tentacle type anemones at my LFS... Is there a certain type we should look for?
(I Do not have an emporer angel) Just a bi-color dwarf and lamarck dwarf, 2 puffers 3 butterflies, and 3 tangs (235g)

That would leave you only with rock dwelling anemones, but that isn't going to be nearly enough light for that sized tank for any hosting anemone.

The 4 48" T5's are on the 265 gallon tank? What are the dimensions? With no sandbed you won't be able to have LTAs, Carpets, or Sebae anemones. Not sure if there are any I missed since it was off the top of my head.

Not all "carpets" are sandbed dwelling -- Gigs tend to prefer to be on the rocks, though in this case that doesn't matter, not enough lighting.
