hi can i put two clownfish in a tank with 1 sebae clownfish?
the two other clownfish is a snowflake and a true perk, but they are small juvies, and the sebae clownfish is a juvie as well (i think)

but i think i need to move one of my clownfish into the little 10gallon because he looks beat up.. (from when i got him) and i should have him in a tank by himself..

will those three fish get along??

I have had diffrent kind of clowns and I put them in diffrent times normally you should put them all in once but if you do put one like you did I would of put him at night with the lights off. I have had 5 clowns and I put them in 1 by one because I was looking for the best and it work out perfectly

I have 4 clowns in my DT...a large misbar sebae, a lg F occ, a M true perc, and a M Sanjay's photon... All have been together over 2 years, the 3 perc/ occ are always together in the same frogsporn coral...

ok thankyou! i this i will try it.. because in the wild arent they all together there is one female and the second biggest is the dom male and then rest stay juvies..

and the one sebae should show them how to host.. lol

Of course you might want to check out albano's tank size also. Makes a big difference.

yeah i missed that part.. haha mine is only 75 gallon... hmmmmmm i should put that guy in a little tank on his own shouldnt i??

I tried 2 pair in my 240, an occeleris pair and latezonatus pair. Didn't work, the larger pair bullied the other endlessly. In my opinion the only reason the smaller latz pair lived is they quickly when into one of my RBTA's. The occerlaris never did so it was their protection. I finally remove the OC from my tank.

i am picking up a tank tonight and going to turn it into a QT tank.... ill do that instead.. then i dont gotta worry...

can a sebae clown pair with any other types of clowns?? is a sebae clown like a clarkii??

IMO/E; this will only work in the short term (( year or two, which is short term for clowns, or even sooner )). After a while a a pair will form and they will not take too kindly to the 3rd wheel.
Odds are good that it will turn South before you can act.

yeah, i have a friend now who just came over and took a look at him.. he is going to take him from me.. he has no fish in his salt water tank and has a 40 gallon.. or 45?? so ill just find another potential mate for the one that is left in my tank.. but im still goin gto set up a QT.. now i never know.. lol and i knew to look at the fish i guess i was just in ahurry and my son really wanted it.. but he will be happy with the one.. i checked the anemone and stuff.. its foot and everything.. lol

I have 3 clowns in my 75 Gallon 1 perc and 1 black ocellaris clownfish and one regular ocellaris clownfish they were all put in at differnt times the 2 ocellaris clownfish live in a gig and the perc is in a red flower pot

3 clownfish of the same species (sometimes more) may work out as long as they are juveniles and introduced together.

Your issue would be with the Sebae, which would eventually mature into a female (would not remain a juvenile) because there is no other similar mature clownfish. A mature Sebae would be much larger and more aggressive then the Ocellaris you had/have and would more than likely eventually bully them to death.

If you want more than 2 clowns, get all of them as juveniles and put them in together. I have 1 snowflake Ocellaris, 1 B/W Darwin Ocellaris, and 1 Onyx true percula that live in my reef tank. All within 12 inches of one another, but then again I also have 5 sea anemones for them to hang around in which gives them seperation of territory, and the snowflake is a juvenile so poses no threat to the nests of the breeding pair.

I would not mix any false/true percula with clarki/sebaes.

Ok both those clowns are gone to my friends!! He only had a chromis so I think they will do good there I was worried the other fish will notice he's beat up and then I'd have a dead fish so he took both.. And I brought home these two knew clowns that my son picked and I loop e them!..
