I agree sixlines should be the only wrasse in the tank unless it's a huge tank. I've seen quite a few sixlines harrass fairy wrasses to the point of them starving to death from hiding all of the time.
My sixline is the very peaceful. I've never seen it bothering anything. It just goes around the rocks, minds it own business. It's only a little more than 1 inch long. Can i add a leopard that's bigger than the sixline?
I had a 6-line try and destroy a leopard (potters) wrasse when I first put it in. I caught the 6-line when he wasn't paying attention and got rid of him.
I don't recommend to try this since the 6-line was in there first... unless you have a super large tank.
Six lines are not hit and miss....this is the deal.......if the 6 line is there first kiss his little leopard butt goodbye.....if the leap is in there for a few months and gets his roost you can do the 6 line later and i think you will have success.....6 lines are like this with crustaceans like shrimp too....put a shrimp in after establishment...bye bye shrimp....but shrimps first...you are good
if i were you i would forget all that non sense and just get a harem of fairy wrasses or flashers....go to the forumns under reef fishes for more info
check out a mystery wrasse too...he will straighten out a 6 line in 2 seconds flat and is a beautiful addition
