can i move my carpet nem?

So i just picked up carpet nem(first one) and so far it seems to have acclimated well to my tank, problem is i hate the position it settled in. will they move like a BTA? if it is stuck in its current position can i safely try and move it? right now the base is buried in the sand so i feel like it would be fairly easy to move but i dont wont to kill/damage it. also i want to get some clowns for it after it has settled in more(after about a month or so) but im not sure exactly which clowns to get. i really like orange skunks and occelaris, any issues or problems i should know about before i try and pair them up? thanks!

What type of carpet?

But, for the time being I would leave it be -- it will move to where it finds the conditions most favorable.

IME, I have had bad luck mixing S. Haddonis and BTAs (( E. Quads )) in the same tank, when I tried it the S. Haddoni wouldn't stay put, no matter how many water changes and carbon.

As for the clowns, need to know what type of "carpet" first.

Base buried in the sand sounds like a haddoni.
It will be a mess if you move it. And most likely, it will move again on its own to a location it likes. Look under the tank, if you see the foot is attached to the glass, definitely leave it.
