Can I put dry side in overflow?

Curious, does the dry side have to be totally kept away from moisture? Is it a sealed waterproof motor? I'd like to put one inside the overflow, out of the water of course, but it will be exposed to a lot of moisture. Thanks. I've never seen one of these pumps in person.

Hello Dukecola,

The dry side must be completely dry at all times. Unfortunately, it will not work in the application you are describing. More and more people however, are creating "false" or "dry" overflows and putting their pumps inside of those. This way you don't have the motor on the outside of the tank and the outlet can then be directed at an angle within the tank.

We will demonstrate this at MACNA.
