Can I put LR in my Fluval EVO refugium?

Hi guys,

I have some spare LR that I bought that I can't fit in my display tank right now, but I don't want to throw it away either D: Can I put it in the little pocket beneath the filter in the back? Or should I avoid putting stuff in there?

As long as you don't inhibit the water flow too much it will be fine, but you may need to vacuum out trapped detritus every couple of months.
