can I remove my upper tank trim?

I have a standard 30g aqueon tank drilled with 2x 5/8" holes for return and drain. Can I peel the black trim off the top to get a cleaner look without damage from pressure?

I'm gonna vote no as well. Not only is it used as bracing, often the top edges won't be finished, so think sharp edges to brush your arms against every time you stick your hands in!

If you want to add eurobracing and sand the edges then I suppose you could, but you'd be further ahead to just buy a rimless tank that was designed that way.

+1 to this, it's part of the reason rimless tanks are so expensive.

You still can remove it if you really want. Plenty of people on YT have. They usually use a torch to melt the silicon if I recall correctly from when I considered trying it on my aqueon tank.
