can i run a 6060 on a wavemaster pro?

No wavemakers! They void the warranty, the timer at 1hr or longer intervals is fine.

Yes you can. I did it with my 6000's before i got the controller. As mentioned, make sure the interval is greater than 1 hour.

what differance does it make if you turn it off hourly or it is on a wavemaker? Does something overheat? If I decided I did not care about the warrenty, how long would one last it I put on a wavemaker? How long would it last if I put one on a timer to go on and offer every 15 minutes?

The brake mechanism is destroyed in a few months generally. Then the pump overheats and is also destroyed after the thermostat cycles on and off so many times.
