seen alot of frags recently in friends tanks and in stores
plus online pics of frags haven't been able to see this piece as a large colony
would like to come up with a plan for placement thats why i need the pic

It's hard to say how a colony will grow from a frag because it's dependent on lighting, flow, and placement in the aquarium. I doubt that two frags would grow the same in different tanks, regardless of similarities in equipment.

Most large, SPS dominated tanks have their colonies grow and interlock with eachother creatig a more natural aquascape.

but since the red planet is a tabling acro im trying to see what it looks like when encrusted and tabling
do you have one mike

I saw a nice colony today in a show tank at a LFS in Charlotte, NC

It covered like a circle on the rock (maybe a circle with 6" diameter) and then grew up about 3" and then out like a tree in the African planes....if that makes any sense...

It took up about 1 cubic foot

"Fintastic" google it...it's really easy to find and some great stuff too

They have some other nice ORA frags...they're not on ORA plugs, as they've grown out mother colonies and cut their own frags

Have fragged it a bunch and moved it way out of the light to get more of the green color. this has in turn slowed the growth rate down significantly. It grew like a weed when i had it up higher in the light but alos turned almost all red and pink.
