Tell us a little more about your tank lighting. Yours looks to be a little smaller than mine were but he looks like he is happy. Don't forget to feed him and make sure there are no bristle worms or pyrmid snails that could prey on him.
I got the baby maximas from ORA before the hurricane wiped them out. The other clams I have I picked up from local pet stores and fellow reefers here on R.C.
Looks O.K. I would stop moving him and let him be for a while. I once had a very nice clam that was not doing so well. I moved him one to many times and he died. Good luck
the clam does not react well to feeding.
i have a lot of fish so my water is not void of nutrients. will it be ok with out feeding it out of the tank?
in a heavily stocked system do you still need to feed them out of the tank?
the clam looked 10 times better than last night. i think i am going to get another gold maxima. a LFS i go to has them for $25.
i got my gold maxima i have now from them for $25.
is that a good price?
and the store QT's them in there tank and checks them regularly for pests. and they have all different patterns for the same price! it could have a striped pattern and they still don't raise the price!
