In the past, I have had success dipping some coral frags with some GHA briefly into the solution of tank water and hydrogen peroxide. Typically it would be 1/2 tank water and 1/2 3% hydrogen peroxide in a coffee-cup. The GHA on the fraq quickly turns white and fizzles away. I let in there for 1-2 minutes, put the frag into 100% tank water to wash it off then insert the frag back into the tank.
Here's the thing: I have this green-star polyp that has encrusted itself onto the biggest rock in the tank which in no way do I want to remove that rock. So.....
Could I take 10mL syringe filled with hydrogen peroxide with a large 18-gauge needle and target shoot the green-star polyp (which has some GHA on it) a few times inside the tank?
In the grande scheme of things, 10mL seems like a trivial volume compared to the overall DT water volume. BUT, I am always so paranoid doing stuff like this.
Any thoughts?
