Can I use this media for a fish only tank?

It looks to be a fairly porous ceramic material. It should be cable of providing a large amount of surface area like any other similar material.
Should be fine for a fish only tank..

Yes, it is simply a medium to increase surface. As to some of the things the website says specifically:

Large surface area to allow for large bacterial colonization - your bacterial colonization will only be as large as your bioload requires, not on how much surface area you provide.

Emits FAR - not sure this is a benefit or not, maybe someone else could comment on Far infrared radiation and the benefits in saltwater...

This is gibberish.

All matter with a temperature greater than absolute zero emits thermal radiation.

Far infrared (FIR) radiation (λ = 3"“100 μm) is a subdivision of the electromagnetic spectrum.

At a typical environmental background temperature, which is around 300 K (around 80°F), the peak emission is at about 9.7 μm.

Ok this is what I figured. I did a little looking on the NIH website and found some stuff on the benefits in certain tissues. The idea of increased oxygenation in water was a little outlandish though.

Any object placed in the aquarium will reach equilibrium with the temperature of the water & emit radiation at a spectrum accordingly. The filter media is no exception.

The temperature of the water limits how much oxygen dissolves in it.

In any case, if I read a claim that a bacteria filtration media directly causes more oxygen to be dissolved in the water I would'nt expect it to be much good for de-nitrification.

Yall kinda losing me with this complicated talk
So in lamens terms... can I use it?

It would certainly be effective in nitrification.

How effective it would be with de-nitrification would depend on how you implement it into your filtration.

The only other concern is, what material its made from ?
Can those materials dissolve & leech into the water ?
If yes, are they toxic to the inhabitants ?
