ok ive breed clowns before but ive never seen this before. my male is acting very weird he is being very protective over one spot on my rock scape. he will chase the other fish away. when i checked to see if there where eggs cuz i know the tend to be mean when they have eggs, but there is none. the female does not go near the spot. could this be him getting ready for the big bang? all the other clowns i had just did the norm. at the rock and a few weeks later there was eggs.

Sounds like it. Clearing a spot and being protective are pretty good indicators of future breeding. If this is the first for the pair, let the first several batches hatch in tank as they tend not to be very viable.
