No. I would never stuff anything into a powerhead to see...I prefer my tank to stay un-nuked thank you.
Anyway, my mother let our new LTA out into the tank- we had an LTA about...eight or ten years ago but it died due to a power outage in the dead of winter. The outage lasted a week and a half.
ANYWAY, mum didn't know and I wasn't even thinking about it- but he got a new powerhead a while ago. She didn't carefully release it close to the crushed coral...annnnd the current swept the anemone straight into the head. Luckily he was only in it for maybe four seconds. (our new clown took a leap but that's a question for my other thread)
I'd like to know if the LTA will be alright.
I mean, it's been in the tank since last friday and we changed filters, did a WC...
But yeah. They can regenerate themselves can't they? I'm a little new to the anemone thing (seeing as I was just a kid when we had our first LTA) And what can I do to prevent this from happening again? I know I need to make a guard, but do you have any suggestions as to with what I should use?
The anem is looking better but still has some gray tentacles...as well as some dark lines down dome of them.
