Can not find a hinge for my canopy

Hi all. I didnt know where to put this thread.
But I have 2 hinges that broke on my canopy and I need to find replacements. This has been a bear and I can not find it anywhere. I was hoping someone on here has an inkling of an idea of where to get these. The only place I found them is alibaba and I have to buy 5000 of them lol. or the other site i'll post up that take 4 weeks to get and is 22.80 per hinge

I've been drug into that abysmal pit know as IKEA, they have a ton of that kinda stuff. Not sure if u can order online or not.
 
There are tons of 12mm "barrel hinges" in brass on Amazon,etc...
Not sure if they would be close enough..

Or just swap out for a more "normal" style hinge..

Woodcraft, Rockler, etc if you want the exact hinge, however that style is not very robust. I would consider replacing with a more suitable hinge as well.

IMHO, a barrel hinge would be my very last choice for a canopy due to the weight involved and the environment it is in.

Perhaps a picture of the canopy would help.

I tried both Woodcraft and Rockler. That was my first thoughts as well. True the hinge is not robust but already drilled out and would like to keep using it. I'll post a pic of the tank. THe canopy opens up half way instead of just in the front.

Have u tried doing a Google image search I've had luck
Locating stuff that Alibaba wants a min order of 5000
To single stuff...
In Canada we have a great place that has stuff like that
Called Lee valley tools.... lots of specialty hinges and stuff ...

I have. I've tried just about every place I can think of. Just didnt know if someone knew about these hinges or where to get them.
 
Yea. I’m not sure why you don’t just ditch the other one and put a decent stainless hinge on. 5 min fix and it will last longer than the canopy itself.
 
This company has always served me well, and I agree a piano hinge could work too, I just don't see many of them that are quality stainless, so they will rust out too, if you went that route I'd probably mount on top so it has less water contact.
Check here, and another great hinge source is a company called Wurth, they are online too, but you have to register like a business.
