can onyx clowns pair with occelaris clowns?

there are quite a few people here w/ percs paired w/ occellaris, and/or vise versa. Shouldn't be a problem. I'm guessing by Onyx you mean like a Rod's onyx? Or are you talking about the black and white occellaris which would also be a yes since I have a pair.

I have heard yes - I have a true perc and a black ocellaris that are paring together just fine...

You should not have a problem pairing an ocellaris with a percula, onyx or not. I have a pair myself now - female ocellaris and male (or juvi) perc. Understand that they are different species, and may not pair up or get along, but your chances are definitely good since they are so similar.

ah i see now you were responding to a question, i thought you were clarifying your OP.

they do pair, but of course the same rules apply when attempting to pair clownfish
