Can oysters be bought anywhere for culturing pearls?

I want to buy some Oysters from the south pacific and start a farming them....anyone have any leads?

Don't know which species of oyster's form pearls, or if it is all. But I have a Blue Point oyster in my fuge that I got at the seafood counter of the grocery store. Its still happy 6 months or so later too.
