Can Phosphate levels be too low for Coral growth?

You said you dose 10 ML. Do you dose directly into your skimmer or your sump? I read some people dosing into a filter sock? What is your method?

Hi again,

I dose into my sump, and after there it goes to my huge skimmer (contains 250 LITER of water, before it goes back to my tank.

I think that because my skimmer is that huge and effective, I dont have(or not see) any leftovers coming back to my tank - but I rarely need measure Po4, and tank is very healty.

Please remember that this is my dosing after long time of finetuning - if u dose too much, u will be to low on phospate - and the corals will become pale and eventually die.


Once every month i vacum my sump, there i can see particles from the seaklear.

My best friend owns the biggest reefshop (DecOcean)in Denmark, and this is his top serie - its named Mean Midget - and have better performance than Royal exclusive.

If u google Mean Midget U can see mm2 on youtube, mine is MM3, its even bigger.(there a bad picture in my thread Gilleleje reef, in the section Large Reeftanks. If u want to see)

That is a awesome skimmer! I like some of those skimmz brand skimmers they look like nice pieces of equipment.
