Can PM happen on squamosa

I am so glad I saw these threads on PM. I have been wondering why two of my five squamosa have been retracted for a couple weeks. I have been checking and re-checking salinity, temp., Ca, KH.......... Everything..... It looks exactly like the pics of PM only much worse on one of mine.

I'm assuming it can happen on all species of clam. (Please let me know if I am wrong).

I've tried to find via readings on these posts and others of process of a FW dip. I am assuming that I match the pH of the aquarium and the temp. Would it be suggested I used distilled water or can I use de-chlorinated tap water? How long do you suggest?

I appreciate all expertise.

yes Squamosas can get PM.

distilled is fine, match temp and Ph and dip for 20 min.

can you post a pic of the clam?

do you add trace elements, iron ?

do you or have you ever run Rowa/phosban or any other iron based PO4 remover?

this is the only clear pic of the three you sent.

from this pic it doesnt look like PM to me.

can you please tell us everything about your tank. (i mean everything, fish, filtration, additives, how you add them, maintenance)
