Can some please tell me what going on with my new fuge?

Ik I just put my Caulerpa Prolifera in my fuge and this is what it looked like when I put it in. Now I know when it goes sexual it turns white, but some of it allready what white on some leave when I got it. The white areas arnt speading at all. Can someone give a hand

Looks like those white areas you are referring to are dead leaves.
