Can somebody help I.D. please.

I have been told this is a mushroom, but I am curious to research more about it. It started out as what looked like a contact and here in the past week or so has got this reddish color. It came up unexpected so I am hoping it is a good thing. If it is good I want to make sure I am giving it what it needs. I know nothing about them as far as light, and do I need to move it or leave it alone or what to do with it. It is off to the side of the tank so it doesnt get the most light. I have a MH that is 175 or maybe 250(not sure 100%) and 2 pc, so the brightest light is in the middle. Any help would be great.

yep mushroom coral, discosoma, probably.

You'll probably have to do absolutely nothing to take care of it. You can TRY feeding it, but most foods are too big for them. Something like cyclops might work, but sometimes they're picky.

I have one just like that but it has no green spots on it. Anyone know how fast the mushroom can grow and reproduce?
